Rapper Young Buck has managed to stay out of prison after reaching a plea agreement just days before his case was set to go to trial. The deal brings an end to a long-running legal battle tied to charges of domestic assault, vandalism, and illegal possession of a firearm.
As reported by ABC affiliate WKRN, Young Buck Accepts Plea Deal, Avoiding Prison Sentence by agreeing to plead guilty to domestic assault and a felony gun charge. Instead of serving additional jail time, the former G-Unit artist has been sentenced to eight years of community corrections. As part of the agreement, he is also required to complete an alcohol and drug assessment within 60 days and surrender all property seized during his arrest.
The court took into account time Buck had already spent behind bars. He received credit for 30 days served last year after being jailed for multiple violations related to his bond supervision.
Originally, Buck’s trial was scheduled to begin on January 12. However, a judge approved a request from his legal team to delay proceedings due to health-related concerns, giving both sides more time to negotiate the plea deal.

The case traces back to a 2020 incident involving Buck and his then-girlfriend, Lucresia Neil. During that altercation, Neil was charged with reckless endangerment with a deadly weapon after allegedly firing a gun at the rapper. The situation drew public attention, with demonstrators gathering outside the courthouse and accusing authorities of political motivation and police misconduct.
With the plea agreement now finalized, Young Buck Accepts Plea Deal, Avoiding Prison Sentence, closing a chapter that has followed him for several years and allowing him to move forward under court supervision rather than incarceration.
